the original plate looks like tis,
the plan is to create a totally different world on the other side.

btw i did some touch up of a very old vfx shot, d idea was just to complete a shot tat i started a few yrs ago, i think bout 2 yrs ago, still i think it was bad plannin back then and i think even after touching up, i think it still need lots of work haha...

1st test on a single twister

From a video i took some where i figure it was kinda the perfect place to start, just that i might need a bit of help on the part where the sand on the ground are surpose to move towards the wind of the twister, or even i thinkit might be moving away... hmmm.. im not sure.

still trying

i figured that it might b a little too much for me to handle for a mini project on my own, so as a little personal project i think since im still new to this whole fluid thingy in maya, am im actually doing this as i read through a tutorial from a bk i got from d librabry so i think i should try to scale down the project alittle

ConceptPaint

Heres another concept paint i did for the night, just about 2 hr. I am trying to do more so that i don't lose touch with the basics.

Little Break From 3D

ConceptPainting

Just thought of doing a concept paint to get away from 3D for awhile, will get back to my Kuzco soon

Just an idea after looking surfing the web for ideas. I saw some underwater scene on youtube and kinda thought of creating concept of my own too.

I have done up a simple texture with help of Roadkill for d UV unwrap, i'm going to very quickly go into rigging as soon as i can, i think i prefer to do rigging den to do a very high res detailed texture in mudbox, maybe its cos this kinda character prob really isn't so much like a character u would see in Gears of war or somethin like tat, so sculpting it seem a bit going too far with it.
Did the model some time back. i think its a bout a year ago before i join Double Negetive, now finally had the time to work on it. I remember trying to find time to complete it, but i think i got carried away with other things. its time to work on fixing some topo n UV unwrap Kuzco, after which i will paint it with some very simple flat color, cos my aim is to get to riggin fast.

Resume
I am proficient in a number of applications like 3DEqulizer, Maya, 3ds max, Mudbox, Zbrush, Aftereffects, Combustion, Realflow, Photoshop, Toonboom studio, Syntheyes, Painter and SketchUp.
I was lecturing at ITE Collage Central Macpherson campus, an institution that trains ‘O’ levels and ‘N’ levels graduates into working professionals. I was appointed as the Class advisor for a graduating class for a year and have made many other contributions to the campus.
For 2 years I have been teaching students the software Maya, ToonBoom Studio and ToonBoom Digital Pro. I know a wide range of disciplines from modeling, texturing, rigging to animation.
I was offered a 3 year contract renewal however at that time I wanted to peruse more exposure in the industry therefore I turn it down. But I was contracted to work on a game prototype for games design department in ITE, it was more of a teaching model. After which I still lecture at ITE part-time on and off.

I had work freelance for a few companies before I started lecturing at ITE. I am dedicated to my work, often regarded as both a good friend and a mentor to my students. I am a good team player and am always keen to learn from others.

I took up a few certification courses at 3d sense and I have always been actively participating in events like CG Overdrive and keep myself updated. I am meticulous and dedicated to my work.

I am able to perform in various discipline of a production but I am really more interested in modeling and VFX. I sincerely hope to be considered for this position and the opportunity to contribute the organization. I have enclosed a copy of my resume, which details my experience and qualifications. Please email me at cxd_bryanc@yahoo.com . Thank you for your time and consideration.

I couldn't remember when i did this, but its awhile back now.

Now after a little taste of matchmove, i still want to explore more in VFX however not leaving my other skills left aside too long, i remember creating a model in maya based on Kuzco, the character designed and created for the movie "The Emperor's New Groove" within a 4hr time frame. it was really fun. All i was given was tis

I still wanna b able to do some modeling, some texturing, and some animatin from time to time.

Bryan Chen, its on my very first film credit. Yeah~

Another episode of my life, i worked at Double Negative for a little more than a year, i had the chance to work on a few shows but mostly i worked on Captain America: The First Avenger.

It was really exciting to work on it even though what I did was mostly just Matchmove, but it really felt good when the movie my favorite comic book Marvel comic. Especially when the credits appear with my name on it.
